About firmfact
Independently owned and self-funded, based in the Netherlands.
We build market data cost management software for teams that have outgrown spreadsheets, email threads and disconnected exports.
Our story
We had known for years what the product should do: explain the delta, not just hold the data. What changed is that AI can now do the interpretation, and AI is only worth anything on factual, well-structured data underneath. It took both, so we started from scratch.
Self-funded. Customer-funded. Built for the long term. Full history migrates, we run in parallel until the numbers convince you, and pricing is published in full, including a free tier with no trial clock.
What is firmfact?
Firmfact helps finance, procurement and market data teams govern contracts, invoices, allocations and audit history in one place. It is built for banks, asset managers, hedge funds and other financial firms that need to explain spend across vendors, users, organisational entities, legal entities and exchanges without rebuilding the same answers in spreadsheets every month.
Why firmfact matters
Market data costs are hard to govern because the work crosses contracts, user access, invoices, allocations and renewal decisions. Most firms still hold that together with spreadsheets and email, which makes cost visibility fragile and audit questions expensive to answer. We built firmfact to give finance, procurement and market data teams in regulated firms a system they can actually run operations on, not another reporting layer on top of the mess.
What makes us different
Cost visibility first
Firmfact is designed to make spend understandable on every screen, not just in month-end exports.
- Vendor and product visibility: See what you are paying across vendors, feeds, and internal owners without rebuilding the picture manually.
- Allocation clarity: Allocate costs across organisational entities, projects, platforms and legal entities, with every allocation open to review.
- Multi-currency support: Track contracts in native currency and report them more accurately for finance and procurement.
Workflows that reduce spreadsheet archaeology
Instead of treating contracts, invoices, and supporting documents as separate cleanup projects, we connect them inside one operating workflow.
- Invoice and document intake: Forward invoices and contracts into the platform for extraction and review instead of chasing PDFs around inboxes.
- AI-assisted analysis: Use conversational workflows to inspect data, compare contracts and surface the questions that usually send teams back into spreadsheets.
- Fully scriptable: API, MCP and CLI, so the same facts reach your own systems, scripts and the AI assistant your firm already uses.
History you can defend
Teams at regulated firms need more than current-state dashboards. Every contract, cost and allocation keeps its full history. Open your workspace exactly as it stood on any past date and show what you knew, when. We call it Time Travel; auditors call it a straight answer. A restatement starts from what the workspace held on the day, not from a reconstruction.
- Audit-ready history: Keep defensible history for contracts, invoices, allocations and corrections instead of reconstructing the past from email threads.
- Finance and renewal support: Give buyers, controllers, and operations leads a clearer basis for renewal reviews and month-end checks.
- European infrastructure: Keep customer data in Europe with hosting and AI-processing decisions designed to be easy to explain in vendor review. Infrastructure details
